This is a new one for me. What do you use nitro spray for?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is a nitro spray available. It is about the size of a tube of lipstick and a lot easier for pwp to handle than tablets.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A lot of pwp's have heart problems also and spray is easier to use. From Pharmacy print out:
"Uses: Nitroglycerin relaxes blood vessels allowing more blood to flow through. This reduces the workload on the heart and improves blood flow to the heart. Lingual nitroglycerin acts quickly to relieve chest pain (angina)."

I have been lurking on the list for awhile and that was my first posting. I have not seen the spray mentioned before and my husband has used for several years.

BEWARE to replace and keep it "fresh" the same as nitro tablets.

My husband of 31 years has heart condition/diabetes/PD. Due to medications and/or conditions, he does not feel pain of a heart attack. What he does get is shortness of breath and B/P goes way up. One spray under the tongue relieves the problem.

Heart specialist several years ago stated nitro should be carried at all times. Making nitro tablets available with shaky hands was impossible so thats when spray was introduced to us.

Several non PD heart friends now carry the spray. It goes into their pockets in the morning along with keys and wallets.

sorry for giving more information than you probably wanted but this list has helped me so much and just maybe this has helped someone and will make their lives easier - pierce
